I’m happy to provide a service that can help alleviate a good deal of stress involved in getting your pet’s nails trimmed by coming to your home or yard, where your pets will feel more comfortable. If necessary, I will create a plan with positive steps to shape the behavior needed to get your pet’s nails trimmed.

Convenience and time saved! Let me come to you! No more drive time and waiting at the vet’s office! If you or your pet have mobility issues, my in-home services will help you!

Covid safety! I am fully vaccinated and will wear a mask in your home, but often prefer to do these jobs outside if you have a yard and the weather is nice!

A note about nail trims

Many pets have had negative experiences getting their nails trimmed in the past. Establishing a positive and trusting relationship is the ultimate goal and key to getting this job done! Specifically, changing the way an animal feels about something is essential to changing their behavior. I’m good at trimming nails, but I’m also respectful of your pet. Ignoring their fear and anxiety will only make your pet’s feelings and behaviors worse, isn’t healthy for them and it can be unsafe for everyone.

I will work with your pet (at their level of comfort with their preferred resource) to help establish a positive and trusting relationship - and a plan to get those nails trimmed!

A resource, in your pet’s case, is something that they value. Higher value resources will be used to reward and motivate pets through this process. Treats, play sessions, walks, and good ol’ neck scratches are a few examples of resources. I will listen to you and your pet and use whatever they like best!
